Just back from a 3hr session at Astro City Amusements at the top of Southend High Street. What a little gem of a place, as we were lucky enough to have an extra weeks sch holiday we booked a party £140 for 30 children (5yrs to 14yrs) 3hrs of Free play for the majority of the games. There were some 2p pusher games you had to pay for but everything else was included. Several pool /snooker tables and air hockey. The over 18 games were gated off and there was someone on the door throughout the session to keep our kids in and others out. Not that we needed to worry about ours disappearing anywhere as for the full 3 hrs they were hooked. There is a small snack and drinks bar, the hot drinks were at the mercy of a kettle so that took a little time but no one minded. We were given a space to put any food down and most of us shot out to various outlets and grabbed food. Paul the owner was very helpful and on hand throughout. It was a bit chilly so take a jumper or stay on the dance mat game!!! Really recommend this place for general use but definitely as a party venue in fact my eldest has already requested a party!!! We will no doubt be returning soon!!
